The Assistant Director of Residence Life for Residential Student Conduct and Development is a full-time, live-off, Service Professional role. The position is exempt and work schedules are influenced by student, staff, and community needs. Work outside of traditional hours may include consultative assistance to staff, attendance at special events and functions, staff training and development participation, and on-call responsibilities.
The Assistant Director for Residential Student Conduct and Development is charged with the leadership, management, and oversight of the student conduct staff and program within Housing and Residence Life. This includes the adjudication of high-level student conduct cases where contract termination from campus housing is likely. Additionally, this role is responsible for afterhours and weekend consultation and/or response for major incidents and/or arrests. The Assistant Director also serves as the primary liaison within Housing and Residence Life to campus partners regarding Title IX reporting and procedures. Additionally, this role must be aware of relevant legislation/laws including, but not limited to Title IX, Clery Act, Campus SaVE Act, Drug-Free Schools Act, and FERPA for hall staff training and implementation in our residential student conduct program.

The Assistant Director for Residential Student Conduct and Development plays a critical role in advocating for student interests, encouraging student development, addressing community issues, intervening in negative behaviors, and collaborating with campus partners and HRL staff to ensure community standards are upheld for a residential campus of over 7,700.
